Sheila is an experienced social worker who is based at our Temporary Rescue Center in Karibaribi. She is passionate about child protection, advocacy and psycho-social support for vulnerable children. She has expertise in Child protection, safeguarding and welfare, Psychosocial support and Counseling, Behavior management and rehabilitation, Family rehabilitation and community engagement and Life skills training and empowerment.

Her work is driven by a commitment to ensure that every child has access to safety, education and emotional support to heal and thrive. She also believes in empowering children to reclaim their dignity and equipping them with life skills for a brighter future. Sheila enjoys using creative and interactive methods e.g art, sport, storytelling to aid in child rehabilitation and learning.
